It starts with the stopping
this addiction we share
let go of the burden
and the shackles we wear

Take control of your life
by cutting the ties
take back what they've taken
with their nicotine lies

It never looked cool
it doesn't fit in
it steals away life
silently within

Cancer eats away tissue
slowly without pain
often undected
but not unexpained

You should listen to me
with experience I speak
as all of the chemo
leaves me too weak

Stop this insanity
stop now don't wait
before the cancer takes over
